About Our DJs

Finch on the Run features two DJs who are available for your events.  Here is more information about them.

Brian Finch is the owner and disc jockey for Finch On The Run Entertainment. In Nebraska he is on his 8th year running the business and each year gets bigger and bigger with more & more bookings.

Ever since Brian was a little Finch, Brian has loved making people smile and laugh. “I even love the little giggle and smirks I get too” he says. Just ask his parents, they will tell you many fun stories of Brian organizing and performing “one man plays” and “one man concerts.” So running and operating a DJ business is a good fit for Brian.

Brian was born is Indiana on December 31 1971. In March of 1972, Brian was adopted by Robert & Jessie Finch. They moved to South Dakota shortly afterwards. Brian grew up in Brookings SD and was given the gift of music. Again, Brian’s skill to entertain people and his creative ways back then are what makes FOTRE what it is today.

Brian played the jukebox and even messed with the bar stereo a time or 2 to get the fun songs and get the crowd excited. Brian’s energetic, fun-loving, down to earth personality is always a sure crowd pleaser. Even at private parties and other social events, Brian was in charge of the “tunes”.

In 2001 Brian moved to Nebraska. His first DJ “gig” was in a small bar in David City NE. After that evening, a friend of his from the Louisville Jaycees asked Brian if he could DJ the Nebraska Jaycees state convention hosted by the Louisville Jaycees.

This is when and how FOTRE was born.

Since that time, Brian has done countless weddings, school events, anniversaries, conventions and many other different type of shows. He has even done parades, car shows and other events that request an announcer and background music.

If you ask Brian why he call the gigs “shows”, his answer is, “Anyone can hit play on a CD player, a show is what a DJ puts on for the crowd to entertain and even make them laugh.” There is that crowd pleaser talent he has once again.

Brian’s favorite “show” is all of them he says, he enjoys them all, again he thrives to entertain people and light up the room wherever he goes. He does enjoy very much going to Double T Bar in Coumbus NE, where he appears once a month and has been for the last 4 years. He is even exclusive for the bar there and does not DJ at other establishments besides weddings.

Brian’s parents now live in Rochester MN, he has one older brother, Bill, in Texas and an older sister, Betsy, in New York. Brian resides with his wife Lisa in Bennet NE. His interests are: camping, family gatherings, exploring new and different music types and hanging with his friends. Brian is also a member of the Waverly Jaycees and very active with the Nebraska Jaycees. He has a son, Brandon, and 2 daughters, Haleigh and Alexia.

Krishana Kinnan joins FOTRE as the newest DJ to the company.

She hails from Columbus NE and now resides in Lincoln NE. Krish got her DJ start back in Oct 2002. She has been the life of the party at all her shows in the past as her outstanding and bubbly personality is a sure crowd pleaser where ever she is at in and out of the Disc Jockey scene.

Krish has used her DJ talents well for a variety of different shows including karaoke, weddings and school or church events. She is excited to be able to use those talents now as a disc jockey for FOTRE.

Her favorite song artist BY FAR is no other than the goddess of the 80’s, Pat Benatar. Her voice and they way she can give back to her crowd just gets Krish going.

Along with that, Krish’s favorite music style is 80’s rock. Although she has a passion for the 80’s, Krish is very knowledgeable to a variety of music genres such as country, hip hop, and oldies.

In her free time, Krishana enjoys singing (like any other KJ) hanging with friends and family, being involved with the Waverly and Nebraska Jaycees. Her passion in life is to also entertain people.
